We have discontinued the membership on the ACMT website and have added the new ACMT forum. We were getting WAY too many spam requests using the BuddyPress application.

Had a couple of minor issues with the sign in, no connection via google and fb wouldnt complete beyond the create a username bit for some reason

Seems like a good time to mention though that a second Portsmouth based charity, http://www.community-fusion.org/ has just decided to begin accepting bitcoin donations

It seems they suffer the same problem Aspex does however, with very slow to respond web developers, hence their donate page currently remains "under construction" lol

One charity at a time we'll change perceptions of bitcoin...it's a bonus of course that the first two down my way happen to be ones which support artists

I just tried it on another computer using another Facebook account. You have to click Login and then when the dialog box pops up choose Signup tab and then choose your poison (Facebook or Google). It should do the usual Facebook or Google popup asking permissions. Then you're in

Apologies for the lateness. Ore-mine is freaking out on me. I was unable to draw out the 0.08+ BTC in that account this evening. I have submitted a ticket to ask what the error might be. If it works out and lets me withdraw then the funds will be included in next weeks payout. I will most likely consider another backup option

It's ok. Caca occurs. It is in all essence a faucet that was/is supposed to be backed by hardware mining. And faucets, no matter what they are, usually have a short lifespan. I am chalking this up to them having coding issues as the last time that I spoke with someone in support; they were instating anti-exploit software to keep gamers from taking advantage.

The picture is not one of my own. If I were to post some of my recent artwork you'd be seeing brew competition posters and the like and I find those more functional than beautiful. Although I am proud of my work and think them beautiful because they are my "children"; I don't find them worthy of the fine art I usually like to post.

I completely agree...design and art, although closely related, are kinda very different at the same time.

Just cause you're a designer, doesn't make you an artist. Just because you're an artist, doesn't make you a designer. The folks that dabble on both sides are truly fun to watch function and progress.

Me, I'm pure design. When I pick up a paint brush, it is to apply glue or epoxy to a prototype. I do appreciate the fine arts though...true talents they are.

Come to think of it, Architecture is a good combination of design and fine art. Many of the architectural principals and ideals that exist today originated from practitioners of the fine arts many, many, many centuries ago...Even millenniums ago.

I could debate and converse about art and design all day. It's a wonderful, unique and very different ability of human nature.

I whole-heartedly agree. I do dabble on both sides most times but I haven't done a lot of "from my heart" artwork lately as I have done "from my head" artwork. They are very much two separate things. Although I do feel a level of passion when I am doing "from my head" work as well.

Architecture can be a good combination of the two branches of the artistic fields of design and fine art for sure
