A possible 3rd option would be to increase the reinvestment % to 50%, this would give us a better chance to keep up with difficulty if we are more aggressive with the investments rather than waiting for the timing to be "just right".

Your planning has been perfect. Annual rate 48% with only 25% reinvestments. The asset has grown 480% in 5 months, 230% in last 2 months. With 50% reinvestments, the initial annual rate is 30%. You are the managers, your decision is perfect for me.

We have a small decision to make.
DMT owns 2.465THS of S3 hardware with hashnest. The S3s have been running at a loss for long enough that have now entered a redemption period lasting 15 days. We have until the 9th of February to decide whether we redeem the hardware or let it go.

I am looking for any feedback from investors on how to proceed. I don't have cheap enough electricity to host them myself. If we can find someone else to host them we could go that route.

Probably more expensive to ship than the price you would get via ebay. Doubt if they could be hosted profitably anywhere unless doubling up as room heaters. Probably need to be written off as per your depreciation programme.

I have been busy and have slacked off a bit updating that page. I do intend to get it up to date at some point.

I was considering listing them on craigslist, IF I was to get them shipped to me. I could at least get back the shipping costs+ a little profit that would be more than was paid for them.
Your correct, the shipping is the worst part. They want 20$ to package it and them 15$ to ship it to shenzen, who knows what the final cost will be after that.

One issue that I see is that there's not much of a guarantee that all of those s3's are in working condition and if so for how long they will be working ? - I recall that when b1 was brought over to USA they had some quality issues with some of those in that batch.. to a point that almost caused a lawsuit.

Most definitely. I could invest the time to clean them up and run them for a bit, make sure they actually function. I can guarantee that unless bitmain has someone dust them off they will have a colony of dust bunnies living in them.

I might also look into some hosting options, it might be worth it to get them up and running even if its 5 or 10% after costs.

This is why I am bringing it up for discussion.

We have received 0.157xxxx after maintenance.
This has us writing off 0.431btc if we don't redeem them.

I wish we had a third option. Either convert them at 10:1 or something into another contract OR give us the option to run it at a deficit for awhile if we believe that they will be profitable again. The costs for the S3 are easily taken care of by the other hardware. If I was able to get 8c/kwh I would definitely redeem them and run them at home but my cost for power has them running at a 30% deficit.

Running the numbers against my COST, it wouldn't i would exceed 'estimated' 100% revenue by $0.21/month (not including diff increases)
