If I know that the incoming BTC Address is color-aware, am I able to simply send to it without needing the asset address? That's my assumption, but I haven't tested it. That's probably how Crowdsales work, I would guess.

You can send assets to any address. Remember that they live on the blockchain but you need a wallet that can see them if you want to interact with them and not destroy them when moving funds. Coinprism should give you an asset address for any standard btc address you give it.

That was my assumption, but I didn't want to test it with anybody's coin.
I forgot about how you accidentally sent them to my Coinbase account, and we had to wipe them out.

I am curious, why aren't you utilizing the crowdsale feature? That would take all of the stress and pita off your shoulders.

I just didn't. I might, if I do another coin, but I'm happy with how this one went, so it's not a big deal. There really wasn't much stress with it, since the number of coins isn't crazy large.

The crowdsale is still the best way to go, this way its all handled by coinprism, you don't have to manually issue every coin purchase that comes in.

To each their own though I do see so many people not taking advantage of the crowdsale feature and it has me wondering why.

If you happen to check the Earnings Wallet, you're going to see some transactions where BTC is sent to this address: 1CtcbAj3mHLU2nbf1jGBVdSDrVdTnEkeFk. When I set up a few of the HYIP programs, I used the Earnings Wallet for withdrawals instead creating a new one. This wouldn't pose a problem, except that the payments include the principal, which shouldn't be used in the dividend calculations.

Because of that, you'll see me transferring all future withdrawals from HYIP to the new address. For each weekly payment, I'll send the appropriate amount of BTC to dividends from the new HYIP address, and then issue the dividends.

Not really. You can always stop processing crowdsales when you get near your cap, you can then process any refunds if needed.

A whoopsie, but not a life changing one. Have you created a separate address to use for future investments that won't interfere with the dividends?
You will see the same thing with ABC, some of the money from the crowdsale went into the dividend address to go backout to asset crowdsales, in the future I will manually transfer any assets so that the div address can stay clean.
