We are currently in process of launching the node, it should be up by the end of the day. We had to perform the wallet upgrades since our test-net masternode was created when we first posted.

One of the sysadmins is also performing a bit more hardening before we start publishing the IP to the world, lol.

So, "issues", yes and no. It's nothing showstopping, just things I would rather get resolved before we officially say it's running.

Read that if you are gonna be running a masternode, you better have a safe and sound set-up.

Hello everyone,

I had wanted to wait until the Masternode received its first payout from the network, but I don't want to keep everyone in suspense. The Masternode has been up and running for a bit over a day now and it can be monitored here: https://dashninja.pl/mndetails.html?mnpubkey=XtvkQW5cFV7ZLUzz7B2EugJmKJwzSBgC8n

You can see the balance of MN there, and anything in the wallet (aside from the 1,000 DASH) will be scraped, exchanged, and distributed as payouts each week. There was a 1 DASH test transaction to the wallet before we sent the MN balance, so you can see the balance currently sits at 1,001 DASH.

Right now the node is being watched like a hawk by myself and the sysadmins, and I'll post again as soon as we receive our first payment from the network. Likelihood of any particular reward going to our MN is similar to mining on a smaller pool, so they won't be frequent, but they should add up properly over time

Congratulations to everyone, we are officially live!

By the way, in the interest of clarity and transparency, I have been reading the section in the DASH source code that deals with payouts for Masternodes. I believe from what I've seen that there is a minimum age for the Masternode before it is eligible to receive a payout, and that minimum age is the number of blocks equal to the number of Masternodes. If I'm correct about this, it will be approximately 4 days before our Masternode is even eligible for a payment.

This shouldn't be a problem long-term, but it could affect the time it takes for us to get our first payout. I'll keep everyone posted with anything I learn, and who knows, I may just be misunderstanding the code entirely
