Any questions about P2Pool?

To get everyone started, the variance on P2Pool is less than some, more than others... fair to middlin. Some 24 hour periods you wonder if your pool is running right (and figuring this out isn't very obvious) and others you wonder why everyone isn't doing it (like this weekend we had a 12 block run which was stellar).

I have a few highly technical questions about mining, but they're not specifically about P2Pool, lol. I'm trying to learn about how the nonces are handled both in the mining software and the pool in order to avoid duplicate work. I can take the question else-where if it doesn't fit this discussion, but was wondering if maybe someone could describe how P2Pool (or any other pool) distributes nonce values so that duplication doesn't occur?

I use both the hardcpp alongside the johndoe75 - they each have their benefits. No need to choose just one - just put each in a different subdir off static-web.
