Not at the moment but we should create one, I was hoping it would be longer until the point where one might be needed. I also want to look into the redemption of addresses through private keys within a new Blockchain. For me I think it's useless to have an ever expanding Blockchain if you can just trim old data.

Sorry I forked this. I have an idea but don't know if it's possible. instead of redemption of addresses why not make a lite version of the wallet one that only stores the blockchain for addresses in the wallet. Full nodes could still have the complete blockchain but personal wallets could ask the full nodes for a digest of blocks that have transactions that contain that wallets addresses.

Don't know if it has been tried well you can call it Hyperflex blockchain storage......

No worries, things can't keep cluttered in just one thread.

So what I am thinking is that you can keep mini-blockchains through a redemption of your address balance through your private keys. I had talked to some other developers about how it can be done, the mechanics of it and it would be good to test out and try (whether on PayCon or another Blockchain) so there is the option of doing it.

I hope I'm not stepping on toes by posting this but it's useful information

The method I'd want to shoot for would be something like a redemption script in which you can load your old wallet or convert your keys automatically into the fresh Blockchain. This would be useful incase anything catastrophic happened and you wanted to load the balances onto a new Blockchain, if you wanted to upgrade to another Blockchain and/or cut off all the old data and save valuable disk space.

Sounds very complicated and error prone. I would keep the full blockchain and just store the blocks that are interesting for the wallet in question. Nodes could still store the full blockchain. This way the only thing that really needs to change is the thin client instead of forking the whole blockchain.

I don't think it would be too complicated, basically you would just collect all the balances and hardcode that into the first Block as a large redeemscript and you can even set timelocks so then you could set a time lock for say 6 months in the future and have whatever wasn't redeemed to go to a certain address. It would have to be automatic or very easy to convert, as easy as loading your old wallet as the new wallet and just carrying on from there.
