Then don't mine. We have to cover the costs for our infrastructure somehow right? We got a massive cluster by now on which we're building the GH infrastructure and that doesn't come free.

You are aware that there a large number of pools is shutting down a the moment? TradeMyBit, Suchpool and some others. Ever wonder why they have to shut down or why they can't afford to maintain their service beyond 1-2 months if BTC dips? Guess not.

Our pool will be free of "pool fees" at one point but it's to early to release details about that and everything that comes with it. In the meantime there is the pool fee and if someone doesn't want to pay it, that's fine.

2% is a fairly standard pool fee. The only ones I know of charging less are either 1) Losing money hand over fist, 2) utterly dishonest, or 3) Both.

I'd be mining here, if I had any SHA-256 miners.

I'm just looking for the best pool for my small miner. Currently I mine p2pool with 0% fees. I seem to be doing well. Wish I knew more about altcoins to mine them and trade them.

It's never too late to learn! There are some good discussions about individual altcoins going on currently in that section, and there are a number of very smart people in the Trading section that I'm sure are happy to answer any questions you have.

I just noticed the Unobtanium Pool is dead... Now both miners are rented on Betarigs but I switched them back to Neos... Is there a better coin ATM or we wait for an update on the multipool function, A new pool for the GHCoin or Neos still the way to go?

I just checked the daemon is running and doesn't show any errors. @AnimoEsto will have look into that later today. He's not around atm, it's like 4 am in the UK.

was the pool down at all over the last 24 hours? i am renting a rig on betarigs and the rig says offline, and the owner is saying that it is a pool issue, but meanwhile i have my own miner still running there?

Ewwww....

About 4 hours ago : We are currently experiencing issues with our proxy servers. This is causing most if not all Rigs to be "offline" If a rig you are renting has gone offline, please open a ticket and let us know. We are working to fix this issue ASAP.

It's more like 12 hours in my case.. My renter send me a message around 5AM that there was a problem... I had to leave for work so I didnt check.... I just came back home and it still down...

I am waiting for it to come back up to add the time to the rigs...
