Okay, its been months since the last correspondence on this thread from @gotram. We've given him ample time to respond. I hope he's in the best of health and eventually returns with an explanation. For now I'm requesting the forum admins put in the title of @gotram threads: [Warning - Creator MIA]. To inform old and new community members as we move forward.

This thread and Gotram Coin should have the warning. Any other assets should contain it as well. I'm only aware of these two.

After such a long time he's either (God beware) dead or he has decided to just vanish for whatever reason. Don't see any other reasons for not popping in after such a long time.

Dan tragically passed away while hiking. He unfortunately got caught up in a flash flood.

If @trutherseeker is related to the user Truthseeker on litecointalk.org I tend not to believe this post since Truthseeker was an annoying troll on that forum...

Names could be coincidental but as long as there is no proof of this "accident" I'm still skeptical

Not that this is conclusive, but no BTC has moved from the GOT payout address since 23/11/15. There is currently ~1.6 BTC sitting in that address.

I know this wont help but an incident like this is a good example why people need to consider taking precautions in case something happens to them so that their family or next of kin would be able to access their digital funds and assets. Not that I would expect relatives to continue paying dividends and such. I'm more thinking relatives or family having access to the savings or wallets in general in case something happens just like they probably have to ones bank accounts and co.

My mum and sister hold some private keys for example. I can only recommend that folks consider doing the same.

I just wish that somebody knew how to connect with whoever would have control of his equipment to at least help get that BTC out of the wallets. Most of it could go toward helping the family, and then we could simply resume payouts after that. That's a lot of $$$ to be tied up in BTC at what may be a troubling time for his family.

In theory it's already possible with smart contracts. A "digital will" which will transfer your assets to predefined addresses at a given date if not cancelled.

I've been curious about something: Gotram ceased communications around the same time LTCGear most recently went dark. Does anyone here know for certain that Gotram and Chris (of LTCGear) are different people (as in has anyone here met both people)? I ask only because I don't know the answer to that question. Obviously, I hope Gotram recovers completely and wish the best to him and his family.

A far as I know, spoke to Gotram a few times, he's not (wasn't) the same person. His English was a lot better than Feekeeper's and I also don't think Chris ever spoke any German. Dan did.
